In May 2007, I read a post on one of my low-carb forums that said that producers for a Canadian daytime talk show were looking for people that had lost a great deal of weight for their show. I answered the post and talked with the producer. I really liked the premise of the show, talking about the very real issues and shame involved in not just being overweight, but being very obese in our society. And I’m just vain enough to have been flattered by the idea of sharing my success on TV. Here are the clips from the segment of the show.
Gill Deacon Show – CBC – May 2007
Hi! I found your blog from your link on active low-carber forums. (my username on the sight is burbuja) Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed this video. The most interesting part for me was when the host asked the question about will power. I think that the different responses were so telling! I just can’t imagine a WOE where I’m supposed to drink water every time I’m hungry. I think that works so rarely.
Thanks again! Very inspirational.. I’m sure more than a few people that watched changed to low carb as a result.
